Scarabs, Scaraboids and Plaques from my collection
A Ramessid scarab (steatite 1.7 cm) from Israel. The ram headed sphinx is a symbol of Amun. See the parallel from Tell el Agul in Keel 1997.
Another scarab (steatite 1.9 cm) from Israel. Note the Seth figure in front of an obelisk and a Maat feather, a very rare scene. However the shape of the scarab is typical Ramessid. See parallel from Afek (Keel 1997). Seth was especially worshipped in the 19th Dynasty.
one more Seth scarab, found in Israel too (steatite 1.8 cm), note the similar style, from the same workshop ?
This Ramessid scarab (steatite 1.6 cm) was found in Israel too. It depicts Re-Harachte with two Uraei. See parallel from Tell el-Farah (South) in Israel.
